Dr. Shafay Shamail completed his BSc Electrical Engineering from UET Lahore, MSc Electronics from University of Wales, UK and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Bath U.K. Before joining LUMS Dr Shamail worked in both the software industry as well as in the academia. Dr. Shamail was Chair Department of Computer Science LUMS from 2004 to 2009. He worked as Vice Provost LUMS from 2010 to 2012 and then as Director Office of Sponsored Programmes (OSP) from 2012 to 2019. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and chaired IEEE Lahore Section for the sessions 2010-2011 and 2015-1016.
